Big scoring nights help Chugiak hockey batter Bartlett

Eight different Mustangs scored goals as Chugiak blasted Bartlett 15-1 Tuesday night in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey game at the McDonald Center in Eagle River.

Jarett Beckett led the onslaught with four goals and three assists for the Mustangs and Luke Momblow had an eight-point night, scoring two goals and assisting on six others.

Barrett Pelant had a hat trick and an assist for Chugiak, which got two goals from Tanner Ebersole and one each from Wyatt Young, Keyan Breivogel, Blake Francione and Joe Joe Tapley.

Young and Franchione each had three assists, Tyler Huffer had two and Breivogel, Shayden Davis, Aidan McCormick and Aidan McEwen added one each.

Bartlett goalie Dylan Harrington stopped 33 shots as Chugiak outshot the Golden Bears 48-5. Bradley Beals scored the lone goal for Bartlett, which fell to 0-6 in the CIC.

Daegen Love stopped four shots to earn the win in net for the Mustangs, who improved to 3-4 in the conference. Chugiak will head to Fairbanks for a nonconference road trip later this week, with games Thursday through Saturday at North Pole, West Valley and Lathrop.
