Homeschool program: Build-a-Tree. 1 p.m., Eagle River Nature Center (end of Eagle River Road). Students will explore plant and growth functions, then go on a leaf collection expedition and learn to identify trees using a key. Other topics will include how trees deal with winter and what tools foresters use to track the health of a forest. Cost is $15 and includes parking.
