FLAG FOOTBALL: Mustangs lose a heartbreaker at Service, Wolves shut out at South

Chugiak and Eagle River dropped flag football games Saturday, with the Wolves falling to South and the Mustangs losing to Service in overtime.

South got two touchdowns from Shelby Ottum in its 39-0 win at South.

At Service High, the Mustangs tied the game with a minute left to play but were unable to convert the extra point. Service then stopped the Mustangs’ offense from the 10-yard line before getting a touchdown pass from Lehua Foma’i to Sharlynn Crutcher to claim an 18-12 win.

Chugiak hosted East and Eagle River played at Dimond on Tuesday, but scores were not available when the Star went to press. Check alaskastar.com for the latest scores and updates.
