Police revive suspected overdose victim

On March 12 at around 6:47 p.m. police responded to Rosebud Row Avenue for a report of a man not breathing. Police said officers performed CPR, which revived the victim. Police said the man had recently injected heroin and was taken to a local hospital by medics.
Trip to DMV results in trip to jail
On March 11 at around 12:28 p.m. police were notified that Jeremiah Z. Johnson — a 20-year-old from Anchorage with two warrants for his arrest — was at the DMV office in Eagle River. Police said they located Johnson in the DMV parking lot and took him to the Anchorage Jail.
Domestic violence alleged
On March 12 at around 12:52 a.m., police responded to Crested Butte Drive after dispatchers said they received a 911 call in which a disturbance could be heard over the phone. Police arrived and found Jesse T. Jeffershaskins, 27, of Eagle River got into a fight with his girlfriend in which he allegedly knocked her to the ground and hit her in the face with her purse. Police said the woman had visible injuries.
Jeffershaskins was arrested on a domestic violence assault charge and taken to the Anchorage Jail.
Woman arrested for warrant
On March 13 at around 8:09 a.m., police stopped to check on a vehicle on the side of the Glenn Highway with its flashers on and found the driver, Sadie M. Harrell, of Wasilla, had a warrant for her arrest. Harrell was taken to the Anchorage Jail and her vehicle was taken by a family member.
Juvenile caught with pot
On March 13 at around 9:03 p.m. police were called to a residence on War Admiral Road in which a juvenile had been caught with marijuana. Police said charges were forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Teen arrested for assault
On March 14 at around 4:22 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault on Atka Circle and found Camden P. Lerch, 19, allegedly jumped on his brother and started punching him while he was asleep on the couch. Lerch was arrested for domestic violence assault. Police said alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
Woman arrested for assault
On March 16 at around 4:50 p.m. police responded to a residence on Dogsled Court for a report of a disturbance and found Roberta L. Tom, 60, allegedly shoved her wheelchair-bound boyfriend and pushed a television onto the floor. Tom was arrested for assault and taken to the Anchorage Jail. Police said alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
On March 17 at around 2:16 a.m. police responded to a report of a Chevy pickup in the ditch alongside the Glenn Highway and arrested the driver, Demetrius R. Johnson, 39, of Anchorage for operating under the influence.
