Eagle River man sentenced for sex crimes
A 28-year-old Eagle River man has been sentenced to more than 25 years in prison for sex crimes involving children.
Timothy Lineer pleaded guilty to attempted sexual abuse of a minor and posession of child pornography in September, 2016.
The sentence was handed down in Anchorage Superior Court on Friday, Feb. 3.
According to a press release issued by the Alaska Attorney General’s Office, Lineer was accused of sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy. During the investigation, officer found videos of child pornography on Lineer’s phone, prosecutors wrote.
Judge Jack Smith also sentenced Lineer to 10 years of probation and ordered him to register as a sex offender for life.
