Patrick Shepard, son of Daniel and Linda Shepard of Eagle River, graduated from Army Basic Combat training Nov. 13 at Fort Jackson, S.C. He is now stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, for Combat Medic Training. Shepard is a 2008 graduate of Chugiak High School.
