APD re-opens murder case, seeks tips in investigation

The Anchorage Police Department has re-opened the investigation into the murder of Genevive Tetpon, according to APD spokesman Lt. David Parker. The department is asking anyone with information about the case to contact Crimestoppers.

Parker said Tetpon's body was found March 22, 2000, in a wooded area near the Fort Richardson overpass on the Glenn Highway. The person responsible was never charged.

APD re-opened the case after receiving new information. Anyone with information that will assist the investigation and help solve the case can call detective Cordie at 786-8679, Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or to submit their tip anonymously using the secure website: www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.

Crimestoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in the arrest of a wanted felon or the solving of a felony crime.
