Handgun shots lead to arrest
Christopher O'Donohue, 45 of Eagle River, was arrested for reckless endangerment, DWI, and 2 counts of misconduct involving weapons in the 4th degree for shooting a handgun while intoxicated near the Eagle River Nature Center Oct. 11.
APD dispatch received a call reporting three men shooting a handgun across Eagle River at 4:54 p.m. Dispatch notified Chugach State Park officials and sent a unit to investigate. APD officers made contact with the suspects, who had left the park, near Walmart.
O'Donohue was arrested and taken to the Anchorage Jail where his bail was set at $1,000. The other two men were released.
Charges are merely accusations; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilt at trial or until a plea of guilty is accepted by the court.
