Change in Air Force Alaskan Command leadership

Maj. Gen. Dana T. Atkins was confirmed as the replacement for Lt. Gen. Douglas M. Fraser as the commander of Alaska Command, 11th Air Force, Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region and Joint Task Force-Alaska.
Atkins is currently serving as the special assistant to the commander, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
An assumption of command ceremony is scheduled for Friday.
