Traffic stop leads to multiple drug charges

Leslie Ajim, 49, of Anchorage, was stopped on Artillery Road Jan. 23 for a traffic violation, which lead to his arrest on multiple charges, including an outstanding warrant, driving while license suspended, fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance for possession of cocaine and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance for possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Anchorage Jail, and his bail was set at $4,500.

Charges are merely accusations; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in at trial or until a plea of guilty is accepted by the courts.
