Friend suspected in home invasion burglary

An Eagle River woman reported a female acquaintance had broken the front door of her residence on Coronado Road and attacked her Jan. 23. The invader struck the woman in the face multiple times causing injuries that required medical treatment. According to Anchorage Police Department spokesman Lt. David Parker, the suspect fled the scene and was not present when police arrived. The case remains under investigation.
