State Parks announces anniversary photo contest

Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation is holding a State Parks photo contest to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the division, and the establishment of Chilkat, Kachemak Bay, Chugach and Denali state parks.

The contest is looking for photos taken of or within any State Park-managed area during any season and from any year.

The contest is open to all, including amateur and professional photographers and State Park staff and volunteers. Individuals may submit up to six photos.

Winning photos will be used to create commemorative posters for the 40th anniversary, and any photo submitted may be used for educational, informational and promotional purposes.
