Cops seek man accused of domestic violence
UPDATE: Gottschalk was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Anchorage Correctional Complex.
On March 20 at around 8:20 p.m. police responded to a church parking lot on Northwood Park Circle to meet with an assault victim. Police said the woman told them she got into an altercation with her husband, Archie N. Gottschalk, 68. The woman told police Gottschalk lunged at her so she ran up the stairs, at which time he allegedly pushed her and caused her to fall and get hurt.
Police said the woman grabbed some personal items and got into her car in the garage. However, Gottschalk allegedly pounded on the woman’s windows and kept closing the garage door. Eventually she was able to drive away and call police.
A warrant for domestic violence assault was issued for Gottschalk, who is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 190 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. As of Tuesday he remained at large. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call police at 311.
