Snow storm likely to snarl Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning commutes

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory warning of a rush-hour storm that’s expected to bring 4-8 inches of snow to the area starting Wednesday afternoon.

The adivsory is in effect from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. Thursday. During that time, snow and hazardous road conditions are forecast for Anchorage, the Mat-Su and Eagle River, including the Glenn Highway corridor. The NWS said the advisory will likely cause slippery road conditions through the Thursday morning commute.
