Anchorage police said they made no arrests after a middle school student deployed pepper spray on a school bus last week in Chugiak.

According to APD, on Feb. 13 at around 10 a.m. police contacted a pair of students from Mirror Lake Middle School about an incident involving pepper spray on a school bus. According to police, one of the students sprayed “a small amount of pepper spray that belonged to the other student.” Police said the pepper spray was not aimed at anyone but did irritate some of the students on the bus.

Police said the students were transferred to a different bus for the rest of the route and none required medical attention; the students’ parents were contacted but no charges were filed.
