Police say missing 13-year-old found safe

UPDATE: Anchorage Police have found the missing boy. According to an update posted by the department at around 12:53 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, he has been located safe and the public alert has been canceled.


Anchorage Police are looking for a 13-year-old last seen near the Peters Creek Chevron station at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26.

According to a Nixle statement sent out at 11:51 p.m. Tuesday, Josiah McCauley left the area after an argument. Here’s the statement issued by police:

He was last seen near the Chevron gas station in South Peters Creek about 18:30 hours. Josiah was last seen wearing black sweatshirt with gray front pockets and black sweat pants with white stripe on legs, purple shoes, carrying backpack.
