Boo at the Beach set for Saturday, Oct. 14
Organizers expect to give out more than 21,000 pieces of candy Saturday during the annual scare-and-sweets event known as “Boo at the Beach.”
The Eagle River-Chugiak Parks and Recreation Department puts on the event, which is scheduled to take place Oct. 14 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Beach Lake Chalet, with the trick-or-treat trail opening at 5:30 p.m. and the haunted trail beginning at 7 p.m.
Admission is $5 to the trick-or-treat trail and $10 to the haunted trail.
Advance tickets can be purchased with cash or credit card at the Eagle River-Chugiak Parks and Recreation office in the Eagle River Town Center building through Oct. 13, while day-of tickets are cash only. When all is said and done, park officials expect hundreds of Chugiak-Eagle River families to attend the Saturday evening event.
